HearthSeal policies

Incentivized Review Policy

Honest review requirements, clear material-connection disclosures and campaign-specific content rights on HearthSeal.

Draft for legal review. Not yet finalized or effective. Company details and applicable legal requirements must be confirmed before launch.

Honesty is a condition of participation

Products, services and discounts are provided for agreed participation, not positive sentiment. Reviews must reflect the reviewer’s actual experience. Reviewers are never paid cash through HearthSeal. Businesses may not require a favorable rating, withhold agreed value because feedback is critical or ask a reviewer to hide an honest negative experience.

Disclose the connection

Whenever publishing content related to the collaboration, clearly explain that you received a product, service or discount through HearthSeal from the named business. Place the disclosure where people will notice it with the content, not hidden in a profile or behind a link. Video disclosures should be clear in the video itself; use appropriate platform disclosure tools as well.

Example for a free product: ‘I received this product free from [business name] through HearthSeal. This review reflects my honest experience.’ Example for a discounted service: ‘[business name] provided this service at a discount through HearthSeal. These are my honest views.’ Adapt the wording to the benefit actually received. These are examples, not guarantees of compliance with every law or publishing platform.

Review only what you experienced

Do not fabricate use, results or testimonials. Do not make unsupported safety, health or performance claims. Submitted photos and videos must accurately show the actual product, service and home. Respect privacy and obtain permission before showing other people or identifying information.

If a retailer or review site does not allow incentivized reviews, do not post one there. An offer cannot override another platform’s rules or applicable law. Raise conflicts in the Match Workspace before accepting or publishing.

Revisions and collaboration ratings

Revision requests are limited to factual errors, missing disclosure, missing agreed format, incomplete submissions or broken files. They must not alter a reviewer’s genuine opinion or pressure them toward a positive tone.

HearthSeal’s mutual collaboration ratings evaluate the working relationship, not whether a product review was favorable. Ratings stay sealed until both parties submit. Reliability, timeliness and content quality inform reputation; review positivity does not.

Content reuse and reporting concerns

Content ownership and permitted reuse are determined by the accepted campaign or offer, not a blanket transfer. Businesses must preserve truthful context and necessary disclosures when reusing content and may not edit it into a misleading endorsement.

Report review pressure, missing disclosures or misleading reuse through Help in the Match Workspace. The Service Team records and reviews the concern. This draft requires legal review and does not replace obligations under applicable advertising law, consumer law or publishing-platform rules.
